Since 1992 Port Douglas Sailmakers has serviced the existing and evolving Marine industry with great success. With the assisting vision of Director Mal Richardson plans were set in motion to become the leading Sailmakers in North Queensland.

Mal started his apprenticeship in 1984 with North Sails in Sydney - giving him the opportunity to pursue his passion. Soon after completing his apprenticeship, Mal left for England where he continued designing and manufacturing racing sails. He worked for a five year period in the Whitsundays before making the move to Port Douglas, where he joined and now owns Port Douglas Sailmakers.

Operating for over 20 years, Port Douglas Sailmakers manufacture a wide range of marine products for domestic and commercial purposes.

We pride ourselves on using the highest quality fabrics, materials and hardware to create innovative products tailored to your personal requirements.
